Surface finishes
Order the finish together with the part.
One order and one invoice for machining and finish. The shop does it in-house or with a vetted subcontractor, and the lead time already includes this step.
CNC machined parts
- Bead blasting
- Matte, even surface without tool marks. Often before anodising.
- Clear anodising
- Hard oxide layer on aluminium: protection against corrosion and scratches, silver colour.
- Black anodising
- Same as clear, dyed black. Visible parts, housings, fixtures.
- Hard anodising
- Thick, very hard layer for parts exposed to wear.
- Zinc plating
- Thin zinc layer on steel: basic rust protection.
- Black oxide
- Dark coating on steel, light protection and a clean look without changing dimensions.
- Passivation
- Cleans stainless steel after machining and restores its corrosion resistance.
- Powder coating
- Durable coating in a RAL colour on steel and aluminium.
Sheet metal parts
- Deburring and edge grinding
- Removes burrs after cutting, edges safe to handle.
- RAL powder coating
- Durable coating in your chosen colour, for enclosures and guards.
- Hot-dip galvanising
- Thick zinc layer on steel, for outdoor use.
- Brushing
- Even matte finish on stainless steel and aluminium.
