CNC prototypes
For single parts most of the price is machine setup. For testing it often pays to order 2-3 pieces at once.
Small batch CNC machining
As quantity rises, setup cost is spread and the unit price drops. Drawing changes during production go through a change request with a new price and date.
How an order works
- You send the STEP file and drawing, material, quantity and required date.
- Simple parts get a fixed price, complex parts are quoted by 3-5 vetted machine shops in a closed tender.
- A vetted shop machines the part, measures the critical dimensions and records them in an inspection report.
- Delivery under our label; invoice and claims handled by HexoParts.

Small batch CNC machining services
Single parts and small batches are unattractive for many machine shops: setup takes as long as machining. HexoParts has no minimum quantity and sends small orders to shops that take them. Typical orders are fixtures, spare parts and parts for machine builders in batches from 1 to a few hundred.
CNC prototyping services
Prototypes run the same way, with your design kept confidential: files are only seen by shops under a confidentiality agreement and without your details. After the prototype, the small batch comes from the same file with one-click reorder, the same material and the same inspection.

For rapid CNC prototyping, simple parts get a fixed price straight from the file, so you can order the first piece without waiting for quotes. CNC machining prototyping of complex parts goes to a closed tender of vetted shops, and the batch can follow from the same file.
