CNC turning for businesses
Shafts, bushings, pins, flanges and rings in metal and plastics, from one piece. The order goes to shops with CNC lathes, including live tooling, so a turned part with milled flats or cross holes is made by a single shop.
Shafts, bushings, pins and flanges. No need to look for a turning shop: the system recognises the rotational body in the STEP file and routes the order to shops with CNC lathes.
01Typical orders
Examples, not a closed list. The order goes to shops whose machines fit the size and material of your part.
Stepped shafts with journals, circlip grooves and threaded ends.
Spacer, bearing and sliding bushings in metal or plastic.
Connecting parts with a head, cross hole or thread.
Turned discs with bolt holes and seal grooves.
02What sets the price
Scroll to see what decides price and manufacturing. These are the same things the shop checks before accepting the order.
01 · Ø44 × 160 mm
On a lathe what counts is how much material comes off the bar: big diameter steps mean longer machining. Parts up to Ø300 mm and 600 mm long get an instant price. Shafts longer than 10 diameters need support.
02 · circlip groove
Describe circlip grooves, undercuts and tool run-outs on the drawing. Chamfers instead of sharp edges make assembly easier and cost nothing extra.
03 · M24 × 1.5
Specify the thread in the order and on the drawing, e.g. M24 × 1.5. With an undercut or run-out the thread comes out clean to the end.
04 · Ø36 h7
Give bearing seats and journals with a fit, e.g. h7. The shop measures these before shipping and records them in the report, and we check the result.
A turned part in a listed material with general tolerances gets a fixed price straight away. Parts with milling on a live-tooling lathe, long slender shafts and fits from the drawing go to a tender.
03Order path
Every order goes through the same steps, and your money stays with us until you accept the parts.
04Scope and materials
Availability depends on the shops the order goes to. Your material is not in the form? Add it to the notes: shops that work with it will quote it.

You upload a STEP file and choose material and quantity. A simple turned part gets a fixed price straight away, long slender shafts and fits are quoted by shops in a tender within 24-48 h.
06Questions
The engine checks whether the body is rotational around one axis. Then it prices turning, and you see the technology in the quote.
Yes. Mark the threads in the order and attach a PDF drawing with their designation.
Our CNC turning service covers shafts, bushings, pins, flanges and rings up to Ø300 mm. The system recognises a turned part in the STEP file and matches it with shops whose CNC lathes suit the diameter and length. There is no minimum order: a single replacement pin is as welcome as a batch of bushings.
Many turned parts also have flats, keyways or cross holes. Shops with driven tools machine them in one setup, so you are not moving the part between two suppliers. Instead of comparing CNC lathe services and turned parts manufacturers one by one, you get one price with a date and an inspection report with every delivery.
We turn aluminium, steel, stainless steel and brass, as well as plastics such as POM-C and PA6. For worn parts that need remaking, see machine spare parts.
Instead of searching for a CNC turned parts manufacturer yourself, you order from HexoParts and we match the job with vetted shops whose lathes fit the part.
Placing an order costs nothing, you pay only for ordered parts. Businesses and private persons across the EU order online, in EUR.
